The Sol Quest Institute operates four types of outdoor experiential education programs in the western United States:

Outdoor Education courses for public and independent schools

Adventure Challenge programs for at-risk urban and rural youth and young adult populations

Challenge Course (also known as Ropes Course) programs for groups adults or young people

Retreat Programs for organizations and groups who want to use the Idyllwild mountain setting for Teambuilding, Leadership, or Strategic planning events

Sol Quest programs are customized to match the age and capabilities as well as the educational and developmental goals of schools, colleges, corporations, and community organizations.

How Do We Educate the Whole Person?

All of Sol Quest’s programs combine outdoor settings and experiential education to help participants become citizens of the world. Sol Quest programs provide unequaled opportunities for teachable moments, new insights into relationships and the development of self-worth, compassion, integrity, sincerity, honesty and strength of character. These qualities, when combined with a traditional knowledge base, create a dynamic wisdom that is the essence of integrated, functional and productive societies. Experiential education involves the education of the whole person and therefore represents significant educational value. The following concepts are woven into every course:

* Leadership
* Teambuilding
* Communications
* Problem Solving
* Confidence Building
* Cross Culture Awareness
* Personal Goal Setting
* Healthy Choices
* Life Skills
* Community Building
